悟禅(1865-----1947)，俗姓王，名明俊，悟禅乃其道号，又号明佛，道岸侍者，出生于诸城王哥庄一个败落的书香门第，其父是贡生，文才名重一方。11岁童试夺冠，后以贡生资格参加会试，一举中进士，在礼部某司中任职。1898年，戊戌变法开始，积极拥护变法，与变法人物多有接触。变法失败维新派人物遭到搜捕，悟禅逃到崂山上清宫当了道士。
