影速度是指底片在电影摄影机中转动的速度，通常是以秒格数（fps）来计算，正常的摄影速度是一秒廿四格。标准的放映转速是24 fps（每秒24格）。除此之外还有三种转速：在电频是50 Hz的欧洲，为配合录影带讯号而成为25 fps；无声16厘米影片是18fps；有的8厘米也是18 fps。除非必须使用25 fps，不然最好是将转速定为24 fps，因为那是有声片的标准转速，适用於所有的周边设备。唯有当摄影机的转速是和放映机一致时，银幕上的动作才是自然正常的。
