引锭(start casting) 在连续铸钢|炼铁过程开始浇注时，借助引锭杆将结晶器内初凝的带液芯的高温铸坯连续拉出的操作。在开始浇注前，将引锭杆的引锭头置于结晶器内作为结晶器的活底，使之将结晶器接缝严密堵住以阻止钢水流出。开浇后浇入结晶器内的钢水与引锭头牢固地连接在一起，引锭杆由拉矫机的传动辊或二冷区的支撑辊牵引下行，把结晶器内初凝的热坯连续拉出铸机，直到凝固的铸坯进入拉矫机后，引锭头方与铸坯分离。
密封绳在开浇后与引锭头、铜板无粘结残留物，对铜板无损伤，易于清理。
