山水诗，是指描写山水风景的诗。 虽然诗中不一定纯写山水，亦可有其它的辅助内容，但是呈现耳目所及的山水状貌声色之美，则必须为诗人创作的主要目的。 由谢灵运开创，脱胎于玄言诗。
