寄生昆虫，是指一个时期或终生附着在寄主的体内或体表，并以摄取寄主的营养物来维持生存的昆虫。绝大多数种类是幼虫期营寄生生活，成虫飞翔或活动寻觅寄主产卵。如夜蛾姬小蜂（Euplectrus chapadae），幼虫寄生于粘虫体外。
