十四经穴以外具有固定位置和有较为特殊治疗作用的腧穴。又称经外奇穴。奇穴一般都是在阿是穴的基础上发展而来的，其中部分穴位如膏肓俞、厥阴俞等后来还补充到十四经穴中，由此可推论奇穴本身又是经穴发展的来源。 奇穴的分布较为分散，有的在十四经循行路线上，有的虽不在十四经循行路线上，但却与经络系统有着密切的关系；有的奇穴并不指某一个部位，而是由多穴位组合成的，如十宣、四缝、华佗夹背等。奇穴在临床治疗上针对性较强，如四缝穴治小儿疳积；百劳穴治瘰疬；十二井穴治高热昏迷等。
