大麦属 （Hordeum Linn.）是被子植物门小麦族下的一个属，该属的物种均为多年生或一年生草本植物。该属约含30种，分布于全球温带或亚热带的山地或高原地区，在新旧大陆各有10多种，中国范围内连同栽培物种约有15种（包括变种）。该属的物种除了可以作为粮食作物之外也可以作为优良牧草。该属的模式物种为大麦（Hordeum vulgare）。该属是瑞典植物分类学家卡尔·冯·林奈（瑞典语：Carl von Linne，1707年5月23日－1778年1月10日）于1753年设立。
Barley is an annual plant, belonging to genus Hordeum, family Gramineae. It has about 30 species, among which only common barley (H. vulgare, L. ) has cultivating value, including two cultured types, hulled barley and naked barley.
