大豆饼是我国主要的蛋白质饲料之一，其粗蛋白质含量(42%以上)高，可消化性好，各种必需氨基酸的含量均较高，且富含烟酸、泛酸、胆碱等各种维生素，不失为猪、禽的良好饲料。
由于制油工艺不同， 通常将压榨法取油后的产品称 为大豆饼（soybean cake）， 浸提法取油后产品为大豆粕 （soybean meal），大豆粕比 大豆饼脂肪含量低，蛋白含量 高，氨基酸组成合理、质量稳 定。
