外币帐户是指记录外币的特定帐户。它包括现金帐户和存款帐户两部分。(在资产负债表上的表示方式)外币现金帐是记录外币现金的帐户，它同记录本国现金帐户一样，在收到现金时，记入帐户借方，在付出现金时，记入帐户贷方。外币要按美元、英磅等不同国家的货币分别进行记录。其价额则要按结帐日的外汇行市换算为本国货币。外币金额应另加附注，或在有关科目内注明。另外，还需注明外币折合本国货币的换算基准。外币存款帐户指记录外币存款帐户。
第三十条合营公司在中银行或中国银行同意的其它银行开立人民币及外币帐户。
