塞焊属于焊接的一种工艺，是指两张板上下排连，用熔化焊的方式将两块板焊透。传统塞焊孔常采用在孔的底面加铜板、碳块、铁板的塞焊工艺, 此方法对于薄板相对可行, 但如果孔底面的附加物间隙过大, 就要增加许多填充材料, 堆积的焊瘤需要磨平, 且易形成夹渣、气孔、未熔合等缺陷;厚板采用此法, 焊接的难度大,很难达到塞焊孔的技术要求。
