地热田，是指现代地壳内占有一定空间位置，有利地质构造部位、具有一定的物理特性(温度、压力、相态)和特殊化学组分的地下热水和蒸汽。同时是大量富集的地域，可通过钻井钻取的合理深度内，可供经济利用的地热区。 它一般包括热储、盖层、热流体通道和热源四大要素，是具有共同的热源，形成统一热储结构，可用地质、物化探方法圈闭的特定范围。
