地平高度亦称地平纬度，通称高度和高度角，以符号h表示，单位为“度”。天体的高度以地平圈为起点（即0°），以天顶为90°，沿天体所在地平经线圈向上量度，自0°～90°。
暗一些的水星，比金星更难观测到，而最近一段时间，可以在金星的右侧看到水星，未来一周水星相对于明亮的金星，地平高度会越来越低。
