土地污染是土地因受到采矿或工业废弃物或农用化学物质的侵入，恶化土壤原有的理化性状，使土地生产潜力减退、产品质量恶化并对人类和动植物造成危害的现象和过程。按污染源不同，可分为工业污染、交通运输污染、农业污染和生活污染四类。土地污染必然引起和促进其他环境要素污染。防治措施主要有：生物防治、施加抑制剂、增施有机肥料、加强水田管理、改变耕作制度和换土、翻土等。
