书名。清永瑢、纪昀主编。编纂《四库全书》时，将“著录书、“存目书”逐一撰写提要，于乾隆四十六年（公元1781年）汇编成此书，二百卷。收录古籍计一万零二百八十九种，是内容丰富、较系统的研究古典文献的重要工具书、解题式书目的代表作。为便于翻检，次年另编《四库全书简明目录》二十卷。不收存目书，提要从简。中华书局一九六五年新印《四库全书总目》。《钦定四库全书总目提要》，简称四库全书总目、四库总目、四库提要，共二百卷，是中国清代纪昀等编纂的一部大型解题书目，是中国古典目录学方法的集大成者。
