向斜(syncline)属于褶曲的基本形态之一，与背斜相对。向斜为褶曲构造之一部分，两翼指向上方，中央向下屈曲。其在褶弯内之岩层，愈往中央，愈为年轻。向斜之两翼，如向同一方向倾斜，曰转倒褶曲；如两翼之倾斜，几近水平，或作水平状态，曰偃卧褶曲。向斜与背斜相连，彼此方向相反，常使地壳岩层，呈现波状。
