历史地理名词，源于北宋的行政区划名——徽州，绝大多数语境下代指历经宋元明清四代、稳定管辖歙县、黟县、婺源、绩溪、祁门、休宁六县而未变更行政管辖范围的徽州地区，依历史朝代不同又可分别指代徽州、徽州路、徽州府，现分属皖赣两省三市（除婺源属江西上饶，绩溪属安徽宣城外，其余四县属安徽黄山）。徽州及其派生词徽州路、徽州府作为一直统辖固有六县的行政区划名在历史上前后共计存在了近780年（1121年-1357年以及1367年-1911年）。
