《古代城市》是由曲英杰编写的（20世纪中国文物考古发现与研究丛书），该书系梳理中国古代城市发现及其研究的成果，涉及各时期古代城址160余座。作者力求客观准确地描述古代城市原貌，尽可能直接依据正式出版物和已发表的考古报告、简报、通讯，记述有关古城址所在具体方位、保存现状。（考古资料截止2001年初）作者认为，中国历史上主要王朝的都城规划大致有一条自成系统的发展线索；都城考古应以宫城为重点，而宫城考古应以宫、庙主要殿堂遗址为中心；都城研究应与古代历史文献相结合。
