北口（Bei kou）在威海城区东部偏北，北山嘴岬角与刘公岛之间。因位于威海湾北部，故名。宽1.5公里，软泥底，两侧多为陡岸，大小船只皆可通行， 是进出威海湾的主航道。航道北侧有牙石岛、青岛、黄岛、连林岛等岛屿，船只航行不宜靠近。
