化学环境 chemical environment 指由土壤、水体、空气等的组成因素所产生的化学性质，给生物的生活以一定作用的环境。在热力学中为了明确研究的对象，常常将所研究的这部分物质或空间，从周围其他的物质或空间中划分出来，而称之为体系(system),也称物系。 由各种化学因素构成的劳动环境。化学环境是现代化生产中排放出的各种化学废物已构成了环境污染的重要方面之后，才受到普遍关注的。这些污染包括大气污染，如二氧化碳、二氧化硫、氮氧化物、光化学烟雾、各种粉尘等对大气的污染;水质污染，如重金属、农药、洗涤剂、生活污水、医疗污水和各种有机化合物等对水质的污染;土壤污染，如化肥、农药、工业废水、降尘、酸雨等对土壤的污染。可见，化学环境的提出，不是一般意义的研究环境因素，而是指化学因素对环境的污染问题。
