动态测量是指被测量在测量过程中是随时间不断变化的，对这种被测量进行测量的测量方法。一般需首先在某一起始点上，静止地观测数分钟，以便进行初始化工作。之后,运动的接收机按预定的采样时间间隔自动地进行观测，并连同基准站的同步观测数据，实时地确定采样点的空间位置。其定位的精度可达厘米级。另外，根据测量敏感元件是否与被测介质接触可分为接触式测量与非接触式测量；根据测量系统是否向被测对象施加能量可分为主动式测量与被动式测量等。
