刘力上，1916年生。又名力尚。别名刘岂，江苏江都人。擅国画。早年在家乡上私塾，后到上海拜为国画大师张大千的入室弟子。随张大千先生学习人物画、山水画。新中国成立后任川西文联美术协会国画组组长，1953年调北京中国美术研究学院任教，传授我国传统技法——重彩。现任中央工艺美术学院教授，北京工笔重彩画会顾问、 中国书画函授大学教授、中国老年书画会顾问、北京中国画研究会名誉会长、中国美术家协会会员。
