凝结核（condensation nucleus）是指凝结过程中起凝结核心作用的固态、液态和气态的气溶胶质粒。大气凝结核由固态物质、溶液滴或两者的混合物组成，其化学成分很复杂，最常见的是氯、氮、碳、镁、钠、钙等化合物。大气中的水汽能在其上凝结而成小水滴的悬浮微粒，通常称凝结核。由于悬浮在大气中的微粒都能在不同程度上起凝结核的作用，所以大气凝结核和大气气溶胶微粒实际上是同义词。凝结核是促使空气中水汽凝结的微粒。
