冰川风（glacier breeze）是指在冰川谷地中，冰川表面较稳定而下沉的冷却气流沿冰面向冰川前方运动，迫使冰缘地区较暖的空气上升而产生对流交换，形成了由冰川表面向冰缘地带吹送的风。如果冰川足够大，可全天盛行冰川风，还可扩展到离冰川前端更远的地方，冰川风厚度也大。冰川面上空气温度和谷中同高度空气温度温差有日变化，虽然冰川风的风向全日不变，但风速有以24小时为周期的日变化。
