再热裂纹是指一些含铬、钼或钒的耐热钢、高强钢焊接后，为消除焊后残余应力，改善接头金相组织和力学性能，而进行消除应力热处理过程中产生的裂纹。这种裂纹多发生在低合金高强钢、珠光体耐热钢、奥氏体不锈钢、镍基合金等的焊接接头中，特别是热影响区的粗晶区。
再热裂纹(Reheat cracking)又称为消除应力处理裂纹(Stress-Reliefcracking),这种裂纹不仅发生在消除应力的热处理中,也发生于焊后再次高温加热过程中。
