共晶碳化物，冶金学名词。指碳元素与一种不同化学物质或元素，在以某一特定比例混合后，能够在比各自熔点还要低的温度下，进行加热熔合，形成均匀的混合物（mixture）。用来形成共晶系统的混合物被称为共晶混合物或共熔混合物（eutectic mixture），形成的化合物被称为共晶碳化物或共熔碳化物（eutectic carbide），而这个熔合温度则称为共晶温度或共熔温度（eutectic temperature）。 针对钨合金口铸铁脆性大，使用范围窄，研究了碱金属元素K，Na对其组织和性能的影响。研究结果表明，钨合金白口铸铁经K，Na变质处理后，共晶碳化物由网状分布变成团球状分布，碳化物明显细化和分布均匀分化。白口铸铁发生共晶转变得到的共晶莱氏体组织中的碳化物，也就是渗碳体。碳化物的存在形式有多种。
