共晶反应是指在一定的温度下，一定成分的液体同时结晶出两种一定成分的固相的反应。所生成的两种固相机械地混合在一起，形成有固定化学成分的基本组织，被统称为共晶体。发生共晶反应时有三相共存，它们各自的成分是确定的，反应在恒温下平衡地进行。
