考古术语。所谓共时关系，是指考古遗存中的遗迹之间（也包括文化堆积）在一定时间内具有同时并存关系（并且这种共时关系通过分析后是可以确认的）。共时关系既适用于同一个聚落遗址，也适用于不同的聚落遗址。考古遗存的共时关系是考古地层学研究的重要内容之一，以往的研究多未给予充分的重视。随着聚落考古研究的展开，地层学中的共时关系的研究就显得越来越迫切，其作用与地层学中的先后关系同等重要。
