公司型基金，是指投资者为了共同投资目标而组成的以盈利为目的的股份制投资公司,并将形成的公司资产投资于有价证券的证券投资基金。公司型基金通过发行股票筹集资金，是具有法人资格的经济组织。 投资者购买了该家公司的股票，就成为该公司的股东，凭股票领取股息或红利、分享投资所获得的收益。公司型基金在法律上是具有独立“法人”地位的股份投资公司。公司型基金依据基金公司章程设立，基金投资者是基金公司的股东，享有股东权，按所持有的股份承 担有限责任、分享投资收益。
