光存储器是指用光学方法从光存储媒体上读取和存储数据的一种设备。一般指光盘机、全息存储器、光带机和光卡机等。绝大部分使用半导体激光器为光源，所以也之称为激光存储器。其中应用最为广泛的光盘机是一个结合光学、机械与电子科技的高科技产品。
