信托委托人是指信托关系人之一。授权受托人经营管理其资财的人。凡是有货币资金和实物财产的自然人或法人，都可以作为信托委托人。信托委托人对开设信托拥有资财的所有权，但经营权却随着信托关系的成立转让予受托人。
受托人管理运用、处分不同委托人的信托财产所产生的债权债务，不得相互抵销。
