保健是指保持和增进人们的心身健康而采取的有效措施。包括预防由工作、生活、环境等引起的各种精神病或由精神因素引起的各种躯体疾病的发生。虽不能直接提高个体的心理健康水平，但能预防个体不健康心理和行为的发生。美国心理学家赫兹伯格双因素理论中的一个因素。该理论认为，个体的工作受两类因素的影响，一是能使人感到满意的因素，它能影响人的工作积极性，并能激发个体作出最好成绩；二是保健因素，亦称“维护因素”，指只能防止人产生不满的因素，它不起激励作用，是维护人的心理健全和不受挫折的必要条件，具有预防性，能保持人的积极性和维持工作现状。
