低温压力容器(low temperature pressure vessel)是低温容器的一种。系指设计温度低于-20℃(最新标准规定等于-20℃不属于低温压力容器)的压力容器,碳素钢和低合金钢随着使用温度的降低,会由延性状态转变为脆性状态,抗冲击性能降低。当压力容器由于种种原因产生缺陷时,在低于脆性转变温度下受力,会发生低应力脆断。
