人民武装部，是中华人民共和国在县（旗，县级市、市辖区）、乡（镇）和大中型厂矿、大专院校设立的军事工作部门。其建制几经变化，1951年起，全国多数县和市辖区建立人民武装部，属军队建制，编配现役军人。1954年改称兵役局。1958年，又改称人民武装部。1961年起，在公社、大中型厂矿、大专院校也设立人民武装部，编配专职地方武装干部。1985年7月起，县（旗、县级市、市辖区）的人民武装部划归地方建制，实行地方和军队双重领导，工作人员也改为地方干部。
