东胡是中国东北的古老游牧民族。是包羲太昊伏羲后裔东夷蒙国包豕韦北迁后与胡人融合后的称谓，自商代初年到西汉，东胡存在大约1300年。东胡、濊貊、肃慎被称为古代东北三大民族。东胡语言属阿尔泰语系。东胡是一个部落联盟，包括了当时族属相同而名号不一的大小部落。
