丘陵为世界五大陆地基本地形之一，是指地球表面形态起伏和缓，绝对高度在500米以内，相对高度不超过200米，由各种岩类组成的坡面组合体。坡度一般较缓，切割破碎，无一定方向。中国自北至南主要有辽西丘陵，江淮丘陵和江南丘陵等。黄土高原上有黄土丘陵。长江中下游河段以南有江南丘陵。辽东，胶东两半岛上的丘陵分布也很广。
