Colorado media and national wire services identified the man killed in the Texas chase and shooting as Evan Ebel, a 28-year-old parolee in the Denver metropolitan area.
To cut to the chase, on December 12, 2011, Gunter pleaded to three counts each of wire fraud and mail fraud in federal court in the Northern District of Alabama.
