abstract:William Henry Donald (born 22 June 1875, Lithgow, New South Wales, died 9 November 1946, Shanghai) was an Australian newspaperman who worked in China from 1903 until World War II. He had considerable direct and indirect influence on events in China, as expressed in a biography, and has been credited with being a primary reason China is one country today.
