The CDU's roots are in the Catholic church, especially in Germany's south (its Bavarian sister party, the Christian Social Union, or CSU, considers itself a separate Volkspartei).
Because we speak the truth, voters have given my party, the Partij voor de Vrijheid, and other parties, such as the Dansk Folkeparti and the Schweizerische Volkspartei, the power to influence the political decision process, whether that be in opposition or in government or by supporting a minority government-- as we want to do in the Netherlands.
