Nowadays, it's hard to imagine any photographer, or artist for that matter, not jumping at the chance to have his or her name in Vogue, collaborate on a designer handbag line or immortalizing this year's starlet with a photo in the buff.
"The Artist" producer Thomas Langmann said the awards attention for the film was especially gratifying given how difficult it was to line up financing for a silent film, a form that went out of vogue more than 80 years ago.
