The destruction of neighborhoods was what prompted Sze Tsung Leong to photograph Beijing and other Chinese cities -- including Nanjing, Pingyao, and Xiamen -- between 2002 and 2005.
These five firms all had at least one team member make the top ten, and Sequoia ( Doug Leone and Jim Goetz) and Greylock ( Reid Hoffman and David Sze) are the only firms to have two representatives in the top ten.
"If you look at the first wave of the Internet as being about content, and the second generation being the interaction of people-to-people connections ... just now we're getting to the point where there's scale, " Sze says.
