The cafeteria was full when we arrived, except for a big, round table in the middle of the room, where James, Eric and Alex were sat, all staring in different directions, their expressions vacant, the sunlight glinting off their pale skin. It was strange that, although they lived in one of the hottest states in America, the Stanleys were all very pale. It was annoying that I out-paled them.
