The minister said some students might not have the grades required for courses in Northern Ireland and some subjects, for example veterinary science, were only available outside Northern Ireland.
The Forest Service said Veseth, a student at Lewis-Clark State College, in Lewiston, whose older brother also is a wildland firefighter in Idaho, had completed the safety coursesrequired of every person in her crew.
