Objective: to explore practical value of oblique sagittal MRI of internal auditory canal (IAC) before cochlear implantation.

Results Insertion site is better at the exterior aspect of the horigontal line of intervertebral facet joints in coronal, while in oblique and sagittal plane, 1-3mm furthor outward.
