abstract:The Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME; pronounced phonetically as "Reemee" with stress on the first syllable) is a corps of the British Army that has responsibility for the maintenance, servicing and inspection of almost every electrical and mechanical piece of equipment within the British Army from Challenger 2 main battle tanks and WAH-64 Apache helicopters to dental tools and cooking equipment/utensils.
The Royal Artillery, the RoyalEngineers, the Army Air Corps, the Royal Logistic Corps, the RoyalElectricalandMechanicalEngineersand the Royal Military Police will also be affected.
