The spokesman said that the Crown Office had published the findings of a "landmark review" of the investigation andprosecution of sexual offences, which he said would give victims "increased confidence" in quality of investigation andprosecution.
The MoJ said it was working with the Home Office and Attorney General's Office, and the review would closely involve the police, Crown Prosecution Service, victims' organisations, the judiciary and the legal community.
Last month, a national review into police, probation and the Crown Prosecution Service in England and Wales found disability hate crime was often "overlooked" and "under-reported".
