Prior to this, "Red Pepper comments" and the "voice of the people", the channels of Rednet.cn, won the first prize of 17th session of the China News Award and of the 18th respectively.
Rednet won the first prize, and the column "redpeppercomments" was valued as a national-famous news column, which is the onlynetworkcolumn honoured by this prize.
