From Jan 1, 2020, China began a 10-year fishing ban (禁令) on important areas of the Yangtze River to protect Biodiversity (生态多样性) in China's longest river.
They also underlined the importance of promoting education in environmental ethics and of preserving indigenous knowledge, particularly to protectbiodiversity against biopiracy.
The entry was praised by the judges as a well-researched group effort that clearly represented the actions that we can take to help protectbiodiversity.
