Breakfast with the Duren's is always awesome – it doesn't matter which Duren it is, all of us (apart from Mari, she's an oddball) are excellent cooks. And breakfast is most probably our specialty. Aunt Frieda had made pancakes, freshly backed croissants and muffins, sausages, eggs, potato waffles, baked beans, the works. Add to that amazing green tea – made Kashmiri style (Aunt Frieda lived in Kashmir for a while when she was in her teens, and she's passed on the recipe to both Mari and I but I'm the only one who can actually make it) and you've got a kick ass breakfast. Of course I had my coffee too, how could I not?
