There is a Basotho proverb Bocha ke palesa , in English it means Youth is flower. The Chinese people has a similar expression, which is HuaYang NianHua-"age of blossoming flowers".

It seemed to see the poet dressed in white robes, his left hand Nianhua, right handed pot, swaying line in the cold stone steps under the moonlight, just like the gods down from the middle.
