Depending on how immersive the game is, I can certainly see how being able to check in on my character or guild or the state of the server vs. server component, etc. would be a convenience.
It is my understanding from the Communications Workers of America (CWA), that its subsidiary, The Newspaper Guild, is asking its members to support the virtual picket line but is not requesting that other organizations honor it.
